SALE! VelocityUSA Blunt SS Deep Custom Ano’d Gravel Bombers

I wanted to highlight some of what’s possible with @velocityusa full custom finish options and this fiery set of Blunt SS based hoops is the result!

Four stages achieve this finish: polishing to a high sheen followed by three stages of splatter masking and custom anodising in red, orange and then this lovely deep anthracite grey, with the polishing giving the anodising a deeper, more lustrous finish. Now that they’ve done their time on this years trade and custom bike show circuit they can be yours!

The Blunt SS is a race oriented XC and Gravel rim from Velocity USA in Grand Rapids Michigan.  It’s generous 27mm internal means it’s ready tyres of 35mm and up (which you should almost certainly run tubeless).  A classy smooth round profile means the Blunt SS is already super distinct but the custom anodising makes this pair completely unique.

Bitex 108 Series Gravel Centrelock Disk hubs benefit from an increased bearing bore and flange on the drive side rear meaning a stiffer build and longer bearing life compared to road or CX specific hubs whilst still being fully convertible between all the freehub and axle standards you might need.

Running Sapim Race Double Butted spokes out back so as you can confidently add a weekend’s bike packing load and Sapim D-Light spokes out front to keep the weight down and the handling nimble.  Sapim 7075 T6 Heat Treated alloy nips in alternating red/orange to match those luscious rims!
