Introducing the RyanBuildsWheels Road/CX Bombers – a high-end, handbuilt and custom wheelset credit card touring, audax, all road, and cyclocross. A real do-it-all wheelset that’s light on the scales and sturdy on the roads.

Rims

DT Swiss RR411 Rim Brake provide a responsive wheelset that saves weight where it matters most whilst their asymmetric spoke bed out back gives better bracing angles to the spokes for superior tension balance and increased fatigue life.  Their 18mm internal width is ideally suited to 25-32c tyres.

All wheels come equipped with two layers of high-end tubeless tape, professionally installed free of charge.

Hubs

The RyanBuildsWheels Road/CX Bombers come with a choice of hubs, our favourite being legendary Hope Tech RS4 hubs need no introduction. UK-designed and manufactured they remain are unbeatable in all conditions. Hands down our favourite brand of hub manufacturer.

We also offer Bitex hubs, which are lighter, have a higher engagement angle and are equipped with long-lasting TPI-sealed bearings weatherproofed in-house. All options feature progressive flange spacing, generous bearing sizes, and a sturdy freehub body.

Spokes

The Road/CX Bomber’s spoke options allow for fine-tuning to fit any rider’s needs.

Butted spokes provide performance and durability at a lower cost. The Sapim D-Light saves weight for riders under 75kg carrying minimal luggage, while the Sapim Race is a great all-around option. For high-performance seekers, the Sapim CX Ray offers further weight savings, long fatigue life, and slight aerodynamic advantages.

Nipples

Nipples come in a range of colours, including full stealth black, bright anodized colours, or custom-coloured highlights on either side of the valve to make these wheels uniquely yours.
